Privacy

Privacy, in plain language.

Social Butterflie is a private client workspace. We use the information entrusted to us to organize, review, and deliver social content—not to sell profiles or collect social passwords.

Effective August 20, 2026

Information we handle

We may store the name and email used to sign in, workspace and client membership, brand guidance, campaign details, content, comments, approvals, uploaded media, scheduling information, support requests, and security or audit records created while the service is used.

When a social account is connected, the provider returns an account identity, the permissions approved by that person, and an access credential. Social Butterflie stores the credential on the protected backend. It does not ask for or store the Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok password.

How information is used

  • Authenticate the person and enforce the exact workspace and client role.
  • Prepare, review, approve, schedule, and deliver the content the client authorized.
  • Connect the exact social identity and perform only the provider actions that are separately enabled and approved.
  • Protect the service, preserve an audit history, troubleshoot failures, and respond to support requests.

Service providers and social platforms

Social Butterflie uses Netlify to host the web application and Google Firebase for authentication, database, file storage, and protected backend functions. Information is also sent to Meta or TikTok when a person chooses to authorize that provider or when an approved provider action is performed. Those companies handle information under their own terms and privacy policies.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use a connected social credential for an unrelated client or a purpose outside the approved workspace workflow.

Retention and security

Credentials are kept server-side and excluded from browser-readable records. A client administrator can pause a connection or permanently disconnect it. Disconnecting deletes Social Butterflie's usable credential while preserving safe account, approval, delivery, and audit history needed to explain prior work.

Workspace information is retained while the client relationship or legitimate operating, security, and recordkeeping need continues. A client may request deletion or correction through the private Support area. Some records may be retained when needed to preserve an approval, transaction, safety restriction, or legal obligation.

Children and client media

The service is not directed to children. Client media may depict minors when an authorized client supplies it. Social Butterflie records consent, usage, visibility, and expiration restrictions so blocked or expired media cannot be scheduled or published through the governed workflow.

Your choices

You may review the information visible in your client workspace, correct client details through the team, pause or disconnect a connected social identity, revoke Social Butterflie in the provider's own connected-app settings, or request account and workspace deletion. See the data deletion instructions for the exact paths.
